I hate being on the wrong side of the camera. For me, that is your side. Although, it does help me to emphathize with your pain more when I ask you to join in and you hadn't really planned on it. I had put some of these up on my facebook, but had been asked to do so as well here. Well, these were taken in June. These are my first images to post here. And, I think I will "sprinkle" the rest occasionally.
But, these were taken my an amazing friend and awesome photographer in NWA - Jessica Ritchie. We partner together with many weddings. I love her dearly, and absolutely love the great images she captured for us in such a short time span because of the storm that chased us all the way up to NWA. But, as I left my laptop just now to check on N - as he was coughing his little head off in his room - I saw this one, which I have framed in a bookcase right outside his door.....awww...love it. Not the me in it....but, how happy this child makes me! So sorry you are sick sweet boy! But, I do love taking care of you even when I'm not feeling my best....
He always makes me smile!!
Thanks sweet Jessica, I will always treasure these! Rain, frizzing hair, challenging kids...and, all!

this is an attempt to start some of that back-tracking I mentioned since I have been so MIA blog-wise. Between multiple sicknesses, a class reunion, weddings, and being in the middle of the busiest season of all for most photographers, I had to let the blog updates slide in an attempt to keep up with edits, orders, packaging...and, my family! ;)
But, this is one I had mentioned a few months back. You will recognize her from our super-fun engagement session with her {husband} Jorden. They had a beautiful ceremony almost two weeks ago. {wow! how the time has flown!} So, for now.........here are some of her beautiful, amazing bridals. I could shoot this girl all day long. That sounds terrible doesn't it???
So many favorites in this session! Too many to chose from actually and that has nothing to do with the "behind the camera" aspect, but everything to do with this beautiful bride. Her beauty - inside and out! She will definitely be featured in the new wedding website. As soon as I make it through this fall schedule, my time will be dedicated back to that. Come back soon to see pictures of the wedding! Stunning couple! I was very honored to be a small part of their big day...

I have the flu. Drats! I had been battling a cold of some sorts for almost two weeks now, but, yesterday, felt as though I had been hit my a truck. Well, that truck hit me last night. And, N is still home sick and the jury is out on when he will recoup enough to go back? You would think he wouldn't mind lying around all day {because truly, that is about all of the energy the little guy can muster up}...but, he is devastated to think of what he is likely missing out on at school. Poor thing.
I have been checking my email and voicemail and am attempting to respond as quickly as I can.
Stay well!

Soooo....happy to finally get this session in! It has been in the works since spring, I think? I've lost count on how many times it had to be rescheduled and with N's battle with the flu this week...I cringed. However, both of these sweet boys unfortunately had it last week - and, although I wasn't feeling my best, but would have felt worse if we had missed it again, we got some great shots!
When I titled this all boyz.....I was not just trying to come up with something to fill in that blank. They are boys defined! & I love that! They even brought out their leather chairs - I'm all about pulling out the furniture in the weeds. Relaxing in the country - isn't that the way it's suppose to be? And, we did look for some deer and turkeys - but, didn' t see them this time around.
Thank you for the opportunity to photography these handsome guys! I enjoyed every moment. I have your sneak peek up on the website - under the Gallery section - just scroll down and you will see L&L's link...
And, the above impromtu race finished with a....tie. and, a fall. and, a crash INTO the truck. No children were injured during the filming of this event. ;)

one of my little guys woke up in the middle of the night very sick. and, now he's worse. after a quick trip to dr. w's this morning and a very long wait at the pharmacy for the tamiflu, {seriously, my insurance company even questioned it with a + flu test??} we returned home to lots of cuddle time. he is absolutely miserable, which of course, makes me miserable. :(
unfortunately several make-ups that were scheduled for this weekend will have to be...."made-up". i guess i should have known that with 5 cancellations in one week for clients having this stuff....it was inevitable for us.
i'm going to go love on him now and PRAY that i do not succumb! be back soon {i hope!}

Here are just a few....I will definitely add more either later tonight or over the next day or two!
